I can’t say it enough! Read and reread your cover letter and resume until you are certain there are no mistakes.
Check and double check that you have included all ways you can be contacted and the information is up to date. One simple missing letter or number in your contact information could be the difference in an employer reaching out to you or moving on to the next candidate because your number was “no longer in service” or your email came back as unknown.
Misspelling a job title or responsibility could prove to be one thing that stood out on your resume instead of everything that was spelled correctly.
Once you are certain there are no mistakes and you have read over everything, ask yourself one last question….
“Would you hire you?”
